What is a Medical Registry Identification Card?
A medical registry identification card (also known as “MMID card”) is a special Florida state ID card. Patients use it to purchase weed in Florida medical dispensaries. The state requires the patient to use it to legally use medical cannabis for their approved medical condition. Florida rule 64-4.011, F.A.C. requires all patients and legal agents to have a Medical Marijuana Use Registry identification card. Patients can then get medical marijuana, or a marijuana delivery device from a licensed dispensing organization (medical marijuana treatment center or MMTC).
